Description

Yogurt marinated chicken is tender and flavorful, perfect for dinner or impressing guests. Simple to prepare and can be made ahead of time.


Ingredients

  • -2 lbs chicken cutlets
  • 1/2 cup plain full fat Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 lemon (juiced, about 1/4 cup)
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 5 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped fine)
  • 1/2 tsp salt (or more to taste)
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp dried basil
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 tsp coriander
  • 1/4 tsp cumin


Instructions

  1. Combine all marinade ingredients in a large bowl and whisk together.
  2. Add chicken and toss to coat evenly.
  3. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or up to 24 hours.
  4. Allow chicken to come to room temperature before cooking, about 20 minutes.
  5. For pan frying: Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat and cook chicken until golden and cooked through.
  6. For air frying: Preheat air fryer and cook chicken at 375°F (190°C) for about 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway.
  7. For baking: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through.

Notes

Marinate the chicken overnight for best flavor and tenderness. Don’t rush the cooking process; ensure the chicken is fully cooked.
