A quick and delicious dish featuring whole-wheat pasta, cherry tomatoes, and fresh basil, made in just 25 minutes.
Ingredients
- 8 oz whole-wheat pasta
- 2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the whole-wheat pasta according to package instructions in salted boiling water.
- In a pan, heat olive oil over medium heat until gleaming.
- Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Add halved cherry tomatoes and cook until they soften.
- Drain the pasta and add it to the pan.
- Toss the pasta with tomatoes, basil, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Serve warm, optionally adding grated parmesan.
