Ingredients

- 2 cups water or milk
- 1 ripe pear, diced

Instructions
- Gather your tools and mise en place using a medium-sized saucepan, wooden spoon, small bowl for diced pear, and measuring spoons.
- Bring the liquid (water or milk) to a soft boil then add the rolled oats and a pinch of salt.
- Reduce heat to a gentle simmer and stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
- After a few minutes, fold in the diced pear, cinnamon, nutmeg, and honey or maple syrup.
