Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Oil for frying
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or a deep pot to 350°F (175°C).
- Drop spoonfuls of the dough into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes on each side.
- Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
- While still warm, dust with powdered sugar. Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
