Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips (dark, milk, or a mix)
- 1/2 cup pistachios, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped pistachios.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of cookie dough onto a lined baking sheet, leaving space between each.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until cookies are set and edges are slightly golden.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
For softer cookies, reduce the baking time slightly or add more butter to the dough.
