Description

Delicious thumbprint cookies that are easy to make and customizable with your favorite jam.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup fruit jam of your choice


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream the butter and sugars together until fluffy.
  3. Add vanilla extract and mix well.
  4. Gradually add flour and salt, mixing until combined.
  5. Shape the dough into small balls and place them on a baking sheet.
  6. Make an indent in the center of each ball using your thumb.
  7. Fill each indent with jam.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
  9. Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Avoid using cold butter to ensure the best texture, and allow cookies to cool before handling.
