A healthy and delicious turkey meatloaf recipe that’s perfect for family meals, easy to make, and ensures moist texture every time.
Ingredients
- 1 ½ pounds ground turkey
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 cup shredded cheese (like cheddar or mozzarella)
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/2 cup finely chopped bell pepper
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup ketchup (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, cheese, onion, bell pepper, and garlic.
- In a separate bowl, whisk the milk, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Combine the wet mixture with the turkey mixture and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Transfer the meat mixture into a loaf pan and shape it into a loaf.
- Spread the ketchup over the top of the meatloaf.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Use lean ground turkey for a healthier option, but a mix of turkey and beef can add extra flavor. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for 3 months.
