Description

A healthy and delicious turkey meatloaf recipe that’s perfect for family meals, easy to make, and ensures moist texture every time.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ pounds ground turkey
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (like cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped bell pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup ketchup (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, cheese, onion, bell pepper, and garlic.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk the milk, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  4. Combine the wet mixture with the turkey mixture and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Transfer the meat mixture into a loaf pan and shape it into a loaf.
  6. Spread the ketchup over the top of the meatloaf.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  8. Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Use lean ground turkey for a healthier option, but a mix of turkey and beef can add extra flavor. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for 3 months.
