Description

Delicious and fresh Thai Basil Beef Rolls filled with lean ground beef, fresh vegetables, and fragrant basil wrapped in soft rice paper.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/2 cup chopped bell peppers
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • Rice paper wrappers


Instructions

  1. In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat. Add the soy sauce and hoisin sauce while cooking. Stir until the beef is fully cooked.
  2. Add the shredded carrots and chopped bell peppers to the skillet. Cook for a few more minutes until the vegetables are tender.
  3. Prepare a bowl of warm water. Dip a rice paper wrapper in the water for a few seconds until it softens.
  4. Place the softened wrapper on a clean surface. Add a spoonful of the beef mixture and a few fresh basil leaves on top.
  5. Carefully roll the wrapper, folding in the sides as you go to ensure the filling stays inside. Repeat until all the filling is used.
  6. Serve the rolls fresh, with a dipping sauce if desired.

Notes

For added flavor, serve with sweet chili sauce or peanut sauce. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
