Description
A delightful dish bringing the flavors of Texas into your kitchen with succulent chicken breasts and a rich, buttery sauce that’s savory and slightly sweet.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 2 tsp honey
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a small mixing bowl, combine the butter, honey, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 5-6 minutes per side, until golden and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F). Once cooked, remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add chicken broth to deglaze the pan. Stir in the butter mixture and cook until smooth.
- Return the chicken to the skillet and coat it with the sauce. Simmer for 2-3 minutes to let the flavors blend.
- Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
Notes
Pat the chicken dry before cooking for a nice golden crust. Adjust honey for sweetness and consider adding vegetables for extra nutrition.
