A quick and healthy teriyaki ground turkey dish packed with protein and colorful vegetables, perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1 cup green peas (fresh or frozen)
- 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
- 2 cups cooked rice (for serving)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Sesenames seeds (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add ground turkey and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Add broccoli and peas to the skillet, and stir well.
- Pour teriyaki sauce over the mixture and cook for another 5-7 minutes, until the vegetables are tender.
- Serve the teriyaki ground turkey and vegetable mixture over cooked rice.
- Garnish with sesame seeds if desired.
Notes
For added flavor, marinate the turkey in the teriyaki sauce for 30 minutes before cooking. You can substitute ground turkey for ground chicken or tofu for a vegetarian option.
