Description
Delightful Sweet Potato Balls that balance sweetness and crunch, perfect for snacks or gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 sweet potato
- White sugar (to taste)
- Glutinous rice flour
- Sesame seeds
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Wash the sweet potato and cut it into thin slices. Steam the slices for 15–20 minutes until tender.
- Mash the steamed sweet potato with sugar to taste until smooth.
- Gradually add glutinous rice flour to the purée, mixing until a smooth dough forms. Adjust with water or more flour as necessary.
- Divide the dough and roll it into small balls about 2–3 cm in diameter.
- Moisten the balls with a little water and roll them in sesame seeds.
- Heat oil to about 160°C (320°F) and fry the balls until they float and turn golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
- Serve warm for the best flavor.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat in an oven or air fryer.
