Description

A cheesy, meaty, and filling dish that combines steak, queso, and rice for a delicious comfort meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb steak, cut into strips
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 cup queso cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Chopped cilantro for garnish


Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add steak strips to the skillet and season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for 5-7 minutes until browned.
  3. Mix in cooked rice with the steak, stirring everything together.
  4. Pour queso cheese over the mixture and stir until the cheese is melted.
  5. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped cilantro.

Notes

Feel free to substitute steak with chicken, ground beef, or tofu. You can also add sautéed veggies for extra flavor.
