Enjoy a warm, delicious banana bread inspired by Starbucks’ famous recipe, perfect for breakfast or snacks.
Ingredients
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 4×8-inch loaf pan.
- In a mixing bowl, mix the melted butter with the mashed bananas.
- Stir in the baking soda and salt.
- Mix in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.
- Finally, stir in the flour until just incorporated, then fold in walnuts if using.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Use very ripe bananas for best flavor. Don’t overmix the batter to keep it soft and moist. Feel free to add mix-ins like chocolate chips or dried fruit.
