Description
Crispy and delicious phyllo triangles filled with sautéed spinach and crumbled feta cheese – a perfect gourmet snack that’s easy to make.
Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
- 1 cup feta cheese, crumbled
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 package phyllo pastry
- 1 egg, beaten
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the finely chopped onion and sauté until soft and translucent.
- Toss in the chopped spinach and cook until wilted.
- Mix in the crumbled feta cheese, along with a sprinkle of salt and pepper.
- Lay out the phyllo pastry on a flat surface and cut it into strips.
- Place a spoonful of the spinach and feta mixture on each strip.
- Fold the pastry over the filling to form triangles.
- Brush the tops with the beaten egg.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
Notes
Serve with a yogurt dip or tzatziki for a delicious pairing. Great for appetizers or a late-night snack.
