Description

Crispy and delicious phyllo triangles filled with sautéed spinach and crumbled feta cheese – a perfect gourmet snack that’s easy to make.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 package phyllo pastry
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the finely chopped onion and sauté until soft and translucent.
  3. Toss in the chopped spinach and cook until wilted.
  4. Mix in the crumbled feta cheese, along with a sprinkle of salt and pepper.
  5. Lay out the phyllo pastry on a flat surface and cut it into strips.
  6. Place a spoonful of the spinach and feta mixture on each strip.
  7. Fold the pastry over the filling to form triangles.
  8. Brush the tops with the beaten egg.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes

Serve with a yogurt dip or tzatziki for a delicious pairing. Great for appetizers or a late-night snack.
