A delightful Spicy Ground Beef Stir-Fry Bowl packed with seasoned beef and colorful garlic veggies served over tender rice, perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
- 1/2 pound ground beef
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes (adjust to taste)
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1/2 red bell pepper, sliced into strips
- 1/2 zucchini, sliced
- 1/2 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1 cup steamed white rice
Instructions
- Prepare all your vegetables by washing and chopping them into bite-sized pieces.
- In a skillet over medium-high heat, add sesame oil and minced garlic; cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add ground beef to the pan and cook until browned, breaking it into small pieces.
- Stir in soy sauce, chili flakes, and brown sugar; simmer for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
- In a separate pan, heat olive oil and sauté minced garlic for 30 seconds.
- Add mushrooms and cook for 2 minutes, then add broccoli, zucchini, and red bell pepper; stir-fry for 4-5 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Add a splash of soy sauce to the vegetables and toss well.
- To serve, place hot steamed rice in bowls and top with the ground beef and veggies.
Notes
Garnish with fresh herbs or a fried egg for extra flavor. Customize the vegetables based on what you have on hand.
