Description

A comforting Southern-style green bean casserole with a creamy mushroom sauce and crispy fried onions, perfect for family gatherings and holidays.


Ingredients

  • 2 cans of green beans (or 1 pound of fresh green beans, trimmed)
  • 1 can of cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 1 cup of French fried onions
  • 1/2 teaspoon of soy sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the green beans, cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Pour the mixture into a baking dish and spread it evenly.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes.
  5. Remove from the oven and top with French fried onions.
  6. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, until the onions are golden brown.
  7. Serve warm as a side dish for Thanksgiving or any holiday meal.
