Delicious and classic soft and chewy chocolate chip cookies, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Add the vanilla extract and eggs to the mixture. Beat until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture. Mix until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips until they are evenly distributed throughout the dough.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for several days. For longer storage, freeze in a zip-top bag.
