A sweet and spicy slow-cooked chicken dish that’s easy to prepare and packed with flavor.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs chicken thighs
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup sriracha sauce
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil (optional)
- Green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Place chicken thighs in the slow cooker.
- In a bowl, combine honey, sriracha, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil. Whisk until well mixed.
- Pour the sauce over the chicken, ensuring each thigh is coated.
- Cover and cook on low for about 6 hours or high for 3 hours.
- Once cooked, shred the chicken in the pot and mix with the sauce.
- Serve in bowls, garnished with green onions.
Notes
For best results, use fresh garlic and ginger. You can serve this chicken with rice, noodles, or in tacos.
