A quick and easy skillet lasagna that’s perfect for a weeknight meal, combining all the delicious flavors of classic lasagna in a one-pan dish.
Ingredients
- 12 lasagna noodles, broken
- 1 pound ground beef (or turkey)
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 28 ounces crushed tomatoes
- 15 ounces ricotta cheese
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef with the chopped onion and minced garlic. Drain any extra fat.
- Add the crushed tomatoes and broken lasagna noodles to the same skillet, mixing well.
- Stir in the Italian seasoning, along with salt and pepper. Mix thoroughly.
- Let it simmer for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Once the noodles are tender, drop spoonfuls of ricotta cheese on top.
- Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese on top and cover. Cook for about 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
Notes
Feel free to customize with extra veggies or different cheeses. Leftovers taste even better the next day.
