Description
A quick and delicious Shrimp Scampi that combines succulent shrimp with garlic, butter, and lemon for a comforting pasta dish.
Ingredients
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup white wine
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 oz pasta (linguine or spaghetti)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes; sauté for about 1 minute.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet; cook until pink, about 3-4 minutes.
- Pour in white wine and lemon juice; let simmer for 2 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Toss the cooked pasta with the shrimp and sauce in the skillet.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
For best flavor, use fresh lemon juice and don’t overcook the shrimp.
