Description

Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh green beans
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Optional: lemon juice or zest for garnish


Instructions

  1. Wash the green beans and trim the ends.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  4. Add the green beans to the skillet, tossing to coat them in the garlic butter.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the beans are tender but still crisp.
  7. Remove from heat and optionally drizzle with lemon juice or garnish with lemon zest before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, add red pepper flakes for a bit of heat. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
