Ingredients
- 1 pound fresh green beans
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- Optional: lemon juice or zest for garnish
Instructions
- Wash the green beans and trim the ends.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Add the green beans to the skillet, tossing to coat them in the garlic butter.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the beans are tender but still crisp.
- Remove from heat and optionally drizzle with lemon juice or garnish with lemon zest before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, add red pepper flakes for a bit of heat. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
