Description

Deliciously soft and chewy cookies with a perfect balance of sweet and salty flavors, packed with chocolate chips and caramel bits.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup caramel bits
  • Sea salt for sprinkling


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. In another bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the creamed mixture.
  5. Stir in the chocolate chips and caramel bits.
  6. Drop by spoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are set.
  8. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with sea salt while still warm.
  9. Allow to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to a week, or freeze for about three months.
