Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and creamy.
- Mix in the flour and salt until combined, being careful not to overmix.
- Press two-thirds of the dough firmly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
- Pour the caramel sauce over the base and spread it evenly.
- Crumble the remaining dough over the caramel layer.
- Sprinkle the sea salt on top of the crumbled dough.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown, then cool before slicing.
