Description

Delightful bars combining buttery goodness with rich, gooey caramel and a sprinkle of sea salt, perfect for any gathering.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and creamy.
  3. Mix in the flour and salt until combined, being careful not to overmix.
  4. Press two-thirds of the dough firmly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  5. Pour the caramel sauce over the base and spread it evenly.
  6. Crumble the remaining dough over the caramel layer.
  7. Sprinkle the sea salt on top of the crumbled dough.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown, then cool before slicing.
