Description

Delicious and moist banana bread enriched with chocolate, perfect for breakfast or dessert.


Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
  3. Stir in the melted butter until well combined.
  4. Add the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
  5. Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mix and stir until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the flour and cocoa powder until there are no dry spots. Be careful not to over-mix.
  7. If desired, fold in the chocolate chips for extra chocolate flavor.
  8. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
  9. Bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then remove it and let it cool completely on a wire rack.

Notes

Serve with butter or whipped cream. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
