Description

Delightful red velvet cookies with a chewy texture, perfect for special occasions or satisfying sweet cravings.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup white chocolate chunks

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the egg, red food coloring, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Fold in the white chocolate chunks.
  6. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers are still slightly soft.
  8. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Serve warm with milk or hot chocolate. To store, keep in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week, or freeze for up to three months.
