Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 large egg
- 1 tablespoon red food coloring
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 ounces cream cheese
- 1 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, combine the milk, vegetable oil, egg, red food coloring, and vanilla extract.
- Mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes, then roll it out into a 1/4 inch thick rectangle.
- Spread softened butter over the dough; mix brown sugar and cinnamon, sprinkle over the butter.
- Roll the dough tightly, slice into rolls, and place in a greased baking dish.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth, then frost the warm rolls before serving.

Store in an airtight container for 2-3 days or refrigerate for up to 4-5 days. Freeze for longer storage.
