Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
    • For the Honey Garlic Sauce:

    • ⅓ cup soy sauce (low sodium)
    • ¼ cup honey
    • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
    • 1 tsp ginger, grated
    • 1 tbsp cornstarch (mixed with 2 tbsp water)
    • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

    For Serving (Optional):

    • 2 cups cooked rice or noodles
    • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
    • 2 green onions, sliced


Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large frying pan or wok over medium heat.
  2. Add diced onion and garlic, sauté until onion is translucent and garlic is fragrant.
  3. Add ground beef, cook until well browned and no longer pink. Break apart into small pieces with a spatula. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  4. Whisk together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, ginger, and cornstarch mixture in a small bowl.
  5. Pour sauce over cooked beef and onions, stir until sauce thickens.
  6. Add broccoli florets, stir until coated in sauce. Cook for approximately 5 minutes until broccoli is tender-crisp.
  7. Remove from heat, toss in green onions and sesame seeds if desired. Serve over rice or noodles.
