Description
Delightful and easy-to-make pineapple fritters that are crispy on the outside and sweet on the inside.
Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1 cup fresh pineapple, diced
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a bowl, toss together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk the milk and egg together.
- Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and mix until combined.
- Gently fold in the diced pineapple.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Spoon the batter into the hot oil, frying until golden brown on both sides.
- Once golden, remove the fritters and let them drain on paper towels.
- Enjoy warm, optionally with powdered sugar on top.
Notes
Avoid using canned pineapple for the best texture. Fry in batches to maintain oil temperature.
