Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup fresh pineapple, diced
  • Oil for frying


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, toss together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, whisk the milk and egg together.
  3. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and mix until combined.
  4. Gently fold in the diced pineapple.
  5. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  6. Spoon the batter into the hot oil, frying until golden brown on both sides.
  7. Once golden, remove the fritters and let them drain on paper towels.
  8. Enjoy warm, optionally with powdered sugar on top.

Notes

Avoid using canned pineapple for the best texture. Fry in batches to maintain oil temperature.
