A delicious twist on classic favorites, these Philly cheesesteak stuffed breadsticks combine gooey cheese, tender beef, and fresh vegetables wrapped in a flaky crust.
Ingredients
- 1 lb beef steak, thinly sliced
- 1 cup bell peppers, sliced
- 1 cup onions, sliced
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 package refrigerated breadstick dough
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Garlic powder (optional)
- Parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven according to the breadstick dough package instructions.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onions and bell peppers, sauté until softened (4-5 minutes).
- Add thinly sliced beef to the skillet; cook until browned. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Remove from heat and stir in 1 cup of mozzarella cheese until melted.
- Roll out the breadstick dough and cut into rectangles.
- Place a spoonful of cheesesteak mixture in each dough rectangle; sprinkle more cheese on top.
- Fold the dough over the filling and pinch to seal.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place filled breadsticks on it.
- Bake according to package instructions until golden brown.
- Garnish with parsley if desired. Serve warm with dipping sauce.
Notes
For variations, consider using mushrooms and zucchini for a vegetarian option or add jalapeños for a spicy kick.
