Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a small bowl, whisk together flour and baking soda; set aside.
- In a large bowl, using a mixer, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt until smooth.
- Beat in the vanilla extract and eggs until well combined.
- Gradually add the flour mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Enjoy your cookies!
Notes
Make sure your butter is at room temperature for easy mixing. Don’t overmix the dough after adding the flour; mix just until combined. For extra chewy cookies, chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking.
