Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • ½ cup crushed peppermint candies
  • Whipped cream for topping


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. Combine graham cracker crumbs and melted butter in a bowl.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom of a springform pan.
  4. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
  5. Add vanilla and peppermint extract, mixing well.
  6. Incorporate eggs, one at a time, mixing after each addition.
  7. Stir in sour cream and crushed peppermint candies.
  8. Pour the cheesecake mixture over the crust.
  9. Bake for 55-60 minutes until the center is set.
  10. Let cool before refrigerating for at least 4 hours.
  11. Top with whipped cream and additional crushed peppermint before serving.
