Description

A quick and delicious Pepper Steak recipe that is packed with flavor and easy to prepare in just 30 minutes.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef steak (sirloin or flank)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 bell pepper
  • 1 onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice for serving


Instructions

  1. Slice the beef steak thinly against the grain and marinate it in soy sauce and cornstarch for about 30 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the marinated beef to the pan and stir-fry until browned, about 3 minutes.
  4. Add sliced bell pepper, onion, garlic, and ginger to the pan.
  5. Stir-fry until the vegetables are tender but still crisp, about 5 minutes.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve hot over cooked rice.

Notes

For best results, slice beef against the grain and don’t skip the marinating step.
