A quick and delicious Pepper Steak recipe that is packed with flavor and easy to prepare in just 30 minutes.
Ingredients
- 1 lb beef steak (sirloin or flank)
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 bell pepper
- 1 onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooked rice for serving
Instructions
- Slice the beef steak thinly against the grain and marinate it in soy sauce and cornstarch for about 30 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
- Add the marinated beef to the pan and stir-fry until browned, about 3 minutes.
- Add sliced bell pepper, onion, garlic, and ginger to the pan.
- Stir-fry until the vegetables are tender but still crisp, about 5 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot over cooked rice.
Notes
For best results, slice beef against the grain and don’t skip the marinating step.
