Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 2 cups water or milk
  • 1 ripe pear, diced
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • A pinch of salt


Instructions

  1. In a pot, bring your water or milk to a boil.
  2. Add the rolled oats and a pinch of salt. Reduce heat and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in the diced pear and cinnamon. Cook for another 2 to 3 minutes, until the pear is warmed and tender.
  4. Remove from heat and drizzle honey or maple syrup on top.
  5. Top with chopped walnuts before serving.
