Description

Delicious and healthy oven-baked tacos made with lean ground turkey and packed with flavor.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground turkey
  • 1 small batch homemade seasoning blend
  • 1 can black beans, drained
  • 1 can green chiles
  • 1 cup Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
  • 4 flour tortillas
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the ground turkey over medium heat until browned. Add the homemade seasoning blend, black beans, and green chiles, stirring well.
  3. Place the flour tortillas on a baking sheet.
  4. Spoon the turkey mixture onto the tortillas and top with Monterey Jack cheese.
  5. Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Meanwhile, prepare the avocado dipping sauce by mashing the avocado and mixing it with sour cream, salt, and pepper.
  7. Serve the tacos hot with the avocado dipping sauce on the side.
