Ingredients
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1 cup orzo pasta
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for cooking
- Parmesan cheese for topping (optional)
Instructions
- In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add diced onion, bell pepper, and minced garlic; sauté until softened, stirring occasionally.
- Add the ground turkey and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula for even cooking.
- Stir in the orzo, chicken broth, diced tomatoes, and Italian seasoning, making sure to combine everything thoroughly.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and allow it to simmer for about 10-12 minutes or until the orzo is cooked and has absorbed the flavors.
