Description
A quick and comforting mushroom rice dish that’s easy to make and satisfying to eat.
Ingredients
- 1 cup uncooked rice
- 2 cups vegetable broth
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Rinse the rice under cold water.
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Sauté onion and garlic until soft.
- Add mushrooms and cook until tender.
- Stir in the rice and cook for 2 minutes.
- Add vegetable broth, salt, and pepper.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and cover.
- Simmer for 15 to 20 minutes until the rice is cooked.
- Fluff with a fork and serve.
Notes
Rinse the rice to remove excess starch for better texture. Experiment with different vegetables or grains if desired.
