A quick and easy appetizer featuring crispy baguette topped with flavorful caramelized onions and sautéed mushrooms.
Ingredients
- 1 baguette, sliced
- 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add sliced onions and cook until caramelized, about 15 minutes.
- Stir in sliced mushrooms and cook until soft, about 5 minutes.
- Add balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Place baguette slices on a baking sheet and toast in the oven for 5 minutes.
- Top each toasted slice with the mushroom and onion mixture.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
Avoid overcrowding the skillet with mushrooms to ensure they caramelize properly.
