Description

A quick and easy appetizer featuring crispy baguette topped with flavorful caramelized onions and sautéed mushrooms.


Ingredients

  • 1 baguette, sliced
  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add sliced onions and cook until caramelized, about 15 minutes.
  4. Stir in sliced mushrooms and cook until soft, about 5 minutes.
  5. Add balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  6. Place baguette slices on a baking sheet and toast in the oven for 5 minutes.
  7. Top each toasted slice with the mushroom and onion mixture.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
