Ingredients
- 1 lb tender steak (sirloin or flank steak)
- 1 cup creamy queso (store bought or homemade)
- 2 cups cooked rice (cold)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped cilantro for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add the diced onion and sauté until translucent.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
- Season the steak with salt and pepper, add it to the skillet, and cook until browned and cooked to your desired doneness.
- Reduce the heat to low, add the cooked rice and creamy queso, stirring until well combined and heated through. Adjust seasoning as needed.
