Description

Ingredients

  • 1 lb tender steak (sirloin or flank steak)
  • 1 cup creamy queso (store bought or homemade)
  • 2 cups cooked rice (cold)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped cilantro for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add the diced onion and sauté until translucent.
  2. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
  3. Season the steak with salt and pepper, add it to the skillet, and cook until browned and cooked to your desired doneness.
  4. Reduce the heat to low, add the cooked rice and creamy queso, stirring until well combined and heated through. Adjust seasoning as needed.
  5. Serve hot garnished with chopped cilantro.
