Description

Smash Burger Tacos are a fun twist on burgers and tacos, combining juicy flavors in an easy-to-eat format. Perfect for gatherings or casual dinners!


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20 for best flavor)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 8 small taco-sized flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, American, or your choice)
  • 1 cup lettuce, shredded
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • ½ cup pickles, sliced
  • ¼ cup onions, diced
  • Your favorite burger sauce or condiments (like ketchup, mustard, or mayonnaise)


Instructions

  1. Divide the ground beef into eight equal portions, about 2 ounces each. Roll them into balls, but don’t press them flat yet.
  2. Preheat a large skillet or griddle over medium-high heat.
  3. Place the beef balls in the skillet. Smash each ball flat with a spatula and season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until crispy and browned on one side.
  4. Flip the patties and add a piece of cheese on top of each one. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the cheese melts.
  5. While the patties are cooking, heat the tortillas in another skillet or directly over a flame until warm and soft.
  6. Assemble the tacos by placing a cheeseburger patty in each tortilla and topping with lettuce, diced tomato, pickles, onions, and sauces of your choice. Fold the tortillas around the filling.

Notes

Store leftovers separately in airtight containers in the fridge for up to 2-3 days.
