Description

Delightful mini pastry pies filled with rich mincemeat, perfect for holiday celebrations.


Ingredients

  • 1 package of shortcrust pastry
  • 300g mincemeat
  • 1 egg (beaten, for glazing)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Roll out the shortcrust pastry on a floured surface until it’s about the thickness of a coin.
  3. Using a round cutter, cut out circles for the base and tops of the pies (about 10cm in diameter).
  4. Place the base circles gently in a greased muffin tin.
  5. Fill each base with a generous spoonful of mincemeat.
  6. Cover with the top circles and seal the edges.
  7. Brush the tops with the beaten egg.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool and dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with clotted cream or ice cream for an enhanced experience.
