Description
Delightful mini pastry pies filled with rich mincemeat, perfect for holiday celebrations.
Ingredients
- 1 package of shortcrust pastry
- 300g mincemeat
- 1 egg (beaten, for glazing)
- Powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Roll out the shortcrust pastry on a floured surface until it’s about the thickness of a coin.
- Using a round cutter, cut out circles for the base and tops of the pies (about 10cm in diameter).
- Place the base circles gently in a greased muffin tin.
- Fill each base with a generous spoonful of mincemeat.
- Cover with the top circles and seal the edges.
- Brush the tops with the beaten egg.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
Serve warm with clotted cream or ice cream for an enhanced experience.
