A delicious and comforting dish featuring tender chicken breast in a creamy sauce with herbs and sun-dried tomatoes, perfect for busy weeknights or special occasions.
Ingredients
- 2 large chicken breasts
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ¼ cup chicken broth
- ½ cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Fresh basil, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth. Stir well to combine.
- Add chopped sun-dried tomatoes, dried basil, and dried oregano. Mix and bring the sauce to a simmer.
- Return the chicken to the skillet and coat it with the creamy sauce. Let it simmer for an additional 3-5 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh basil if desired and serve warm.
Notes
Best served over rice or pasta, and can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
