Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line an 8×8 inch baking dish.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
- Add the eggs one by one, ensuring they’re fully incorporated before adding the next. Follow this with the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour and salt. Gradually fold this dry mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Stir in the lemon juice and zest until the batter is well incorporated.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for about 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the brownies cool completely in the dish.
- For the glaze, mix the powdered sugar and lemon juice until smooth. Drizzle over the cooled brownies.
- Cut into squares and serve.
