Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 1 Yellow onion
  • 3 Garlic cloves
  • 1 Bell pepper
  • 1 can Crushed tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp Tomato paste
  • 4 cups Chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup Heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup Dry white wine
  • 8 oz Lasagna noodles
  • 1/2 cup Ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup Mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp Cream cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp Red pepper flakes
  • 2 Bay leaves
  • 2 tbsp Fresh basil


Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a large pot over medium heat until fully cooked, then drain excess fat.
  2. Add chopped onions, minced garlic, and diced bell pepper. Sauté until vegetables are tender.
  3. Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, chicken broth, heavy cream, and dry white wine. Bring to a gentle simmer.
  4. Add broken lasagna noodles and cook until al dente, about 10 minutes.
  5. Stir in ricotta, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheeses until melted.
  6. Season with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, and bay leaves.
  7. Remove from heat and discard bay leaves. Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil.
