Description
A quick, fresh, and healthy Korean Spinach Salad, also known as Sigeumchi Namul, made with just five ingredients.
Ingredients
- 1 pound fresh spinach
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
Instructions
- Wash the spinach thoroughly and drain.
- Boil water in a pot and blanch the spinach for 1-2 minutes.
- Drain the spinach and cool it in cold water.
- Squeeze out excess water from the spinach.
- In a bowl, mix sesame oil, soy sauce, minced garlic, and sesame seeds.
- Add the spinach to the bowl and toss to coat.
- Serve at room temperature or chilled.
Notes
For alternatives, you can use kale or bok choy instead of spinach. Olive oil works as a substitute for sesame oil.
