Description

A quick, fresh, and healthy Korean Spinach Salad, also known as Sigeumchi Namul, made with just five ingredients.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh spinach
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds


Instructions

  1. Wash the spinach thoroughly and drain.
  2. Boil water in a pot and blanch the spinach for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Drain the spinach and cool it in cold water.
  4. Squeeze out excess water from the spinach.
  5. In a bowl, mix sesame oil, soy sauce, minced garlic, and sesame seeds.
  6. Add the spinach to the bowl and toss to coat.
  7. Serve at room temperature or chilled.

Notes

For alternatives, you can use kale or bok choy instead of spinach. Olive oil works as a substitute for sesame oil.
