Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1/2 cup softened unsalted butter
- 1 large egg yolk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 8 oz dark chocolate, chopped
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, powdered sugar, and salt.
- Add butter and egg yolk, blending until a dough-like consistency forms.
- Press the dough into a tart pan, ensuring an even distribution.
- Bake the crust for 15 minutes, then let it cool completely.
- In a saucepan, heat heavy cream and sugar over medium heat until simmering.
- Remove from heat and stir in dark chocolate and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Pour the chocolate mixture into the cooled tart crust.
- Refrigerate for a minimum of 2 hours to set.
- Slice and serve chilled.
Notes
Store in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 2 months. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator before serving.
