Ingredients
- 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon minced ginger
- 1 tablespoon sriracha (optional)
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Green onions for garnish
- Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the cornstarch and flour. Dip the chicken pieces in the egg then coat with the cornstarch mixture.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and fry the chicken until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In another pan, combine orange juice, sugar, soy sauce, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, and sriracha. Bring to a boil and then simmer until the sauce thickens.
- Toss the fried chicken in the sauce until fully coated.
- Serve hot, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
Use fresh ingredients for best taste. Let coated chicken sit for better adherence, and adjust sriracha for spice level.
