Description

A quick and easy dish with a sweet and salty sauce that perfectly complements tender shrimp.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, garlic, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add the shrimp to the bowl and let it marinate for about 15 minutes.
  3. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
  4. Remove shrimp from the marinade and toss them into the hot pan. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they are pink and cooked through.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry.
  6. Add the leftover marinade to the pan and bring it to a simmer.
  7. Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook until the sauce thickens.
  8. Serve the shrimp with the sauce over rice or noodles.

Notes

Prepping ingredients beforehand and not overcooking the shrimp are key to success.
