Description
A quick and easy dish with a sweet and salty sauce that perfectly complements tender shrimp.
Ingredients
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, garlic, salt, and pepper.
- Add the shrimp to the bowl and let it marinate for about 15 minutes.
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Remove shrimp from the marinade and toss them into the hot pan. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they are pink and cooked through.
- In a separate bowl, mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry.
- Add the leftover marinade to the pan and bring it to a simmer.
- Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook until the sauce thickens.
- Serve the shrimp with the sauce over rice or noodles.
Notes
Prepping ingredients beforehand and not overcooking the shrimp are key to success.
