Description

Discover the exquisite symphony of flavors with this Honey Garlic Ground Beef and Broccoli Stir-Fry. Perfect for those seeking Healthy Dinner Recipes With Beef, this dish combines tender beef with the robust taste of broccoli, all enveloped in a delectable honey garlic sauce. It’s a versatile and nutritious dish that adds a gourmet touch to your weeknight meals.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat, and add olive oil. Once the oil is hot, add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon. Remove excess fat if necessary.
  2. Add minced garlic, ginger, and soy sauce to the beef, stirring for a couple of minutes until fragrant.
  3. In a bowl, mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry. Pour this mixture into the skillet along with honey, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Stir to combine and allow the sauce to thicken slightly.
  4. Add the broccoli florets to the skillet, and toss the ingredients together to combine. Cover and let simmer on low heat for about 5-7 minutes, until broccoli is tender yet crisp.
  5. Stir in crushed red pepper flakes if you prefer a bit of heat, then taste and adjust the seasoning as needed.
  6. Serve the stir-fry over steamed rice or noodles and sprinkle sesame seeds on top if desired.

Notes

  • Use fresh broccoli for the best taste and crunch.
  • Ensure the ground beef is well-drained to avoid a greasy dish.
  • Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less honey based on your preference.
  • Add bell peppers or snap peas for more color and nutrition.
  • Use chicken instead of beef for a leaner protein option.
