Ingredients
- 1 cup softened butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add in eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients until smooth.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Scoop spoonfuls of dough onto lined baking sheets, spacing them out.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden around the edges.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3–4 days. For longer storage, freeze cookies for up to 2 months.
