Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup mashed bananas or applesauce
  • 1 cup chopped apples
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1/2 cup walnuts or pecans (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, combine the rolled oats, mashed bananas (or applesauce), chopped apples, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt. If you want added sweetness, stir in honey or maple syrup.
  3. If using, fold in the walnuts or pecans.
  4. Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, flattening them slightly.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until golden brown.
  6. Let cool before serving as a snack or breakfast on the go.
